Step 1: Download CData Virtuality Studio
CData Virtuality Studio is the graphical user interface in which you can configure the software.
Step 2: Install the ODBC or JDBC drivers
With the ODBC and JDBC drivers you can connect your tools for data analysis.
Step 3: Read the instruction manual / software documentation
The documentation covers the installation and usage of the software.
To use CData Virtuality Studio just download a corresponding file to a folder of your choice.
According to your operating system, please, do the following: Linux OS - unzip archive file,
Windows OS - run installer, MacOS - install package.
Start CData Virtuality Studio and connect to
CData Virtuality Server using default login and password ‘admin’, ‘admin’. We firmly advise you to
change these credentials after your first login.
The ODBC driver is meant for connecting your data analysis applications to CData Virtuality Server.
Please download the installer that corresponds to your operating system.
For Windows users: The
installer does not set up a Data Source Name (DSN) automatically.
For Linux users: Install as root user via terminal with dpkg -i [file name]
(Debian) or rpm -i localinstall -i [file name] (CentOS).
The JDBC driver is meant for connecting your data analysis applications to CData Virtuality Server. Just download it and use it according to the documentation of the application you would like to connect.
DownloadSome BI-Tools like Cognos, Microstrategy and Tableau need special configuration files to work properly with CData Virtuality Server. Download the zip archive and install according to the manual.
